Eden Shamy
I'm Eden, a multimedia journalist invested in shedding light on local politics and activism. I grew up traveling the world, writing in my journals, and developing a passion for global cultures, news and politics. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I came to love exploring the power structures of the Texas Capitol alongside the lively creative scene. From print to broadcast, coding and data journalism, I'm always looking for creative new ways to tell important stories. Now, I'm excited to be traveling around the state covering election season for the Texas Observer. My work has been featured in The Austin Chronicle, The Daily Texan, Burnt X Orange Magazine, and more.
